Recordings - Create, Manage & Use AI Assistance
The Recordings feature in Contato allows you to capture important conversations, meetings, and discussions as audio or video. Each recording is securely stored, automatically transcribed using AI, and can be linked to contacts, events, or tasks—ensuring no critical detail is ever lost.
To begin, open the Contato app on your device and sign in to your account. From the bottom navigation or main menu, select Recordings, then tap + New Recording to start.
You can choose whether you want to record audio or video, depending on the nature of the conversation. Before starting, you may optionally link the recording to a specific contact, event, or task so it is automatically organized within your workflow.
Tap Start to begin recording. A live timer will appear, showing the duration of the recording. If needed, you can pause and resume the recording at any time. Once the conversation is complete, tap Stop.
On the save screen, enter a clear title and add optional notes or a description for context. After tapping Save, the recording is added to your Recordings list, and an AI-generated transcript is created automatically in the background.
